The Origins of Johnny Petosky and the Tiny Dinosaurs

In the summer of 2018, I, Tim Bober started putting together a song list for a new solo project entitled, Johnny Petosky and the Tiny Dinosaurs. I had bought a looping pedal in 2016 and had started to utilize it in other bands and so it made intuitive sense to use it in a solo project.  

But the brainstorming began to burst forth and the possibilities of producing interesting, elaborate and musically accurate versions of popular songs seemed within grasp.  The only thing left to do was buy the best performing looping pedal on the market and get to work!  

Me, and the Dinosaurs have now learned about 20 songs.  Some songs have up to 8 parts and loops and some have 1 or 2. But all the tracks are played live and I hope you enjoy the momentary construction of songs you've heard on the radio.  

I've also enjoyed the freedom of picking songs that I loved growing up in the 80's, my favorite tunes of the 60's and 70's that my parents exposed me to, the rockers of the 90's and 2000's that I always wanted to play (but the bands I were in wouldn't have wanted to play it), and new pop tunes that I really dig.  

JP and the TD's have played a short and successful gig in December, have another gig in late February, and are currently booking gigs for 2019!
